There is going to be an election for General Secretary. The first stage for those of us not standing is to participate in a Branch nominating meeting. At this meeting we debate and decide to nominate someone as a candidate for the position of General Secretary. The rule book says that
The general secretary and treasurer will be responsible to the Central Executive Council for delivering the objectives of the GMB.
In order to take part in this important process, we have moved our next Branch meeting forward to the 9th Sept. This site now has the event date published accurately
